Trillian™ is a fully featured, stand-alone, skinnable chat client that
supports AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and IRC. It provides
capabilities not possible with original network clients, while
supporting standard features such as audio chat, file transfers, group
chats, chat rooms, buddy icons, multiple simultaneous connections to
the same network, server-side contact importing, typing notification,
direct connection (AIM), proxy support, encrypted messaging (AIM/ICQ),
SMS support, and privacy settings.
Without stealing your home
page and with no other included software, pop-ups, or spyware, Trillian
provides unique functionality such as contact message history, a
powerful skinning language, tabbed messaging, global status changes
(set all networks away at once), Instant Lookup (automatic Wikipedia
integration), contact alerts, an advanced automation system to trigger
events based on anything happening in the client, docking, hundreds of
emoticons, emotisounds, shell extensions for file transfers, and
systray notifications.

Info Card
Highlight any list entry with your mouse cursor and extra information
will appear in a convenient info card. Easily see status messages or an
expanded news feed with a quick mouse movement.
Change Your Status Message
Type messages directly into the contact list to immediately send across all available services.
Match your Music
Have your status message follow your music from iTunes, Windows Media Player or Winamp.
Change your Icon and Name Easily
Simply click your name and type to change your display name across all
IM services. Drag a picture file into your avatar area to change it as
well.
Instant Diagnosis
When an individual connection is disconnected, Trillian will now notify you while it attempts to re-connect in the background.
Save and Retrieve Status Messages
Trillian now supports visible grouping of status messages, enhanced
support for variables, font styles and emoticons, and as always, full
control over how a given status message applies itself across
connections.
